Welcome to Lake & Marion Counties Catholic Schools!

For more than 50 years, we have been helping children in the cities of Leesburg and Ocala grow to their fullest potential and become remarkable leaders within their communities. Our 3 centrally located schools offer an educational experience rooted in high academic standards and steeped in the Catholic faith and traditions, all within unique, dynamic learning environments.

We educate the whole child, from Pre-K3 to 12th grade, and prepare students for success in college, career and life.

Lake & Marion Catholic Schools instruction offers a solid foundation in Florida educational standards, enriched in religion, foreign language, fine arts, computer science, and physical education. Our schools’ cross-curricular, hands-on approach to learning utilizes technology, promotes creativity, and actively engages students to discover, inquire about, and improve the world around them.

Our Mission

Accreditation

Lake & Marion Catholic Schools are held to the highest standards.

All early learning/elementary/middle schools in the Diocese of Orlando:

  • Are accredited by The Florida Catholic Conference (FCC) and must undergo re-accreditation every 5-7 years.

  • Meet or exceed the State of Florida educational requirements.

  • Are certified by the Florida Department of Children Services.

  • Are evaluated annually using the National Standards and Benchmarks for Effective Catholic Elementary and Secondary Schools, a comprehensive set of standards examining Mission and Catholic Identity, Governance and Leadership, Academic Excellence, and Operational Vitality. Seventy benchmarks provide observable, measurable descriptors for each standard. (catholicschoolstandards.org)

  • Participate in Third-Year Progress Appraisal (TYPA) visit conducted by the Office of Catholic Schools to evaluate and ensure continued school growth between FCC visits.

Catholic high schools are accredited by AdvancED and the Florida Catholic Conference.

Don’t let finances prevent you from providing your child or children with the very best educational opportunity in a Leesburg or Ocala private school. Our schools offer various forms of tuition assistance and scholarship programs to assist families in their desire to provide a Catholic education to their children.

Throughout the Diocese of Orlando, families have received more than $10 million in tuition and fee allowances. In addition, through the participation of our schools, families also have the opportunity to receive assistance from the Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten (VPK), Step-Up for Students (for those with financial needs), McKay Scholarship Program for Students with Disabilities, AAA Scholarship Foundation, and Personal Learning Scholarship Account (now called the Gardiner Scholarship) programs, all from the State of Florida.

Please note that not all assistance programs are available at all schools. Contact the individual school for more information.
